A student-first scholarly press
ScholarVertex is a transparent open-access press for students, research scholars, and early-career authors. A peer-reviewed, open-access monthly journal in law, management, and society.
About
About ScholarVertex.
ScholarVertex is an independent, open-access scholarly press for students, research scholars, and early-career authors. We publish peer-reviewed research under transparent editorial policies - article processing charges and case-by-case waivers are stated openly before review and never influence editorial decisions.
The press launches with the International Journal of Law, Management and Society (IJLMAS), a monthly journal covering law, management, public policy, governance, and the social sciences. We prepare metadata for ORCID, ready our workflow for DOI assignment, and apply for registry/indexing recognition - and we label each of these honestly as available, planned, or future until they are formally confirmed.

Part I - The question
Why publish here?
Too many first manuscripts disappear into unclear editorial systems. ScholarVertex makes the decision visible before you submit: scope, fee policy, review model, metadata, and what happens if the journal is not the right home.
We publish work by students, PhD researchers, postgraduates, independent scholars, and early-career academics, while keeping standards visible enough for supervisors, librarians, and readers to inspect. The page below is built like a guided submission room: each step answers a practical author question.
Part II - The launch journal
One launch journal, presented as a full masthead.
Part III - The trust pack
What protects your work?
Predatory publishing hides the details. ScholarVertex does the opposite: every claim is visible, every pending registry is labelled as pending, and no author has to guess what review or fees mean.
Hover or focus a trust tile.
Each item explains why it matters before an author sends a manuscript anywhere.
Request an APC waiver - reviewed case by case ~ 5 working days
No automatic discount. The editorial office reviews each case on context: career stage, region, funding situation, and project type.
Part V - The people
Editorial stewardship with names, roles, and scope.
Part VI - The walkthrough
From draft to publication in clear stages.

Become a Partner
Universities, libraries, research centres, and scholarly societies are welcome to partner with ScholarVertex on co-published special issues, hosted workshops, conference proceedings, member benefits, and joint outreach to early-career authors. Tell us about the institution, your scope of interest, and the partnership you envisage.
Informal scoping conversations are welcome before a full proposal. Full requirements and subject-line templates live on the journal's Propose & Partner and Conference Proposal pages.
Editorial / Referee Application
Apply to review or join the editorial team.
IJLMAS is building its reviewer pool and editorial team. Reviewers assess manuscripts within their expertise under a double-anonymous process; section editors and advisory-board members help triage submissions, uphold editorial standards, and mentor first-time authors. We welcome PhD researchers, postgraduates, independent scholars, and early-career academics.
There is no online form. Apply by email - applications are acknowledged on receipt. Use the subject line “IJLMAS Referee Application - [Your Name]” or “IJLMAS Editorial Application - [Your Name]”:
Include: full name, affiliation and country; ORCID or scholarly-profile link; highest degree and discipline(s); areas of expertise and manuscript types you will review; up to five representative publications; indicative availability; and any conflicts of interest. Full guidance is on the journal's Editorial & Referee Application page.

Courses
A short-courses programme is coming soon.
ScholarVertex is preparing a programme of research-methods short courses for students, research scholars, and early-career authors - designed to translate journal-quality standards into hands-on practice. Topics under planning include qualitative and quantitative methods, academic writing, ethics and integrity, and the doctoral-to-journal pathway. We will announce dates, instructors, and registration here as the programme launches.
This page will fill in as the curriculum is published. To be notified when course registration opens, email [email protected] with subject “ScholarVertex Courses - notify me”.
