About IJLMAS

About IJLMAS

The International Journal of Law, Management and Society (IJLMAS) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by ScholarVertex Publications. IJLMAS publishes original research, methodological papers, review articles, essays, and short communications across law, management, public policy, governance, and the social sciences.

The journal centres work by students, PhD researchers, postgraduates, independent scholars, and early-career academics — keeping standards visible enough for supervisors, librarians, and readers to inspect.

Scope

IJLMAS welcomes inter-disciplinary contributions that cross departmental lines — work that doesn't fit neatly into a single field's home journal but speaks to questions the broader scholarly community is taking seriously. The journal is hospitable to empirical, methodological, theoretical, and interpretive contributions across these four orientation areas:

  • Law & legal studies — essays, empirical studies, and review work in literature, history, sociology, anthropology, and adjacent humanistic and social fields.
  • Management & organisations — research on public policy, educational practice, and pedagogy, including field reports from policy labs and classroom-as-research studies.
  • Public policy & society — critical and interpretive work on digital culture, media, language technologies, and the social meaning of computational systems.
  • Methods & interdisciplinary practice — methodological contributions, mixed-method studies, and reflexive accounts of interdisciplinary research practice by emerging scholars.

Editorial standards

  • Peer review: Double-blind, two-or-more reviewers, ~4-week first-round target with a 14-day median first-decision on screening and scope. See Peer Review Process.
  • Ethics: COPE-aligned. See Publication Ethics.
  • Originality: iThenticate (Crossref Similarity Check) screening; similarity threshold below 15%. See Plagiarism Policy.
  • Open access: CC BY 4.0; authors retain copyright. See Copyright & Licensing.
  • Preservation: PKP PN registration in progress; LOCKSS/CLOCKSS under evaluation. See Archiving Policy.

Audience

IJLMAS addresses early-career scholars and the supervisors, librarians, and readers who evaluate their work. The journal is built for authors taking their first or second steps into peer-reviewed publishing — with mentor-style decisions, transparent editorial checks, and candid feedback that helps work find a productive home, whether or not that home turns out to be IJLMAS.

Decision principle

Constructive review, prompt redirection: manuscripts within scope receive constructive review and clear timelines; manuscripts outside scope are redirected promptly with referrals to better-fit venues where possible. The first-decision target is 14 days median — fast, candid early decisions on fit and scope.
