Article Withdrawal Policy
This policy governs requests to withdraw a manuscript or article from ScholarVertex and VIJLMSS.
- Before acceptance: authors may withdraw a manuscript by written request to the Editor at [email protected]. Withdrawal at this stage is normally granted promptly.
- After acceptance / during production: withdrawal is strongly discouraged. It requires the Editor’s approval. Because editorial and production work has already been undertaken, a processing charge may apply once an APC schedule is in force; during the launch-period waiver no charge is made.
- After publication: published articles are part of the permanent scholarly record and are not removed. Genuine problems are addressed through corrections, expressions of concern, or retraction (see Corrections & Retractions), with the original retained and clearly annotated.
- Articles in Press found to contain errors before formal issue assignment may be withdrawn and replaced with a corrected version.
Withdrawal of manuscripts found to be duplicate, plagiarised, or otherwise in breach of ethics is handled under the Allegation of Misconduct policy.
